We are delighted to welcome the American journalist and writer Richard Louv for an online conference at the opening evening of the Rencontres Enfance et Nature 2025. He is the author of the book “Last Child in the Woods”, translated into French in 2020. For his premiere conference in France, Richard Louv will address the subject of Nature-Deficit Disorder. Richard Louv first brought international awareness to the health risks associated to children being cut-off from daily outdoor time in connection with nature in 2005. Twenty years later, based on scientific findings and interviews with parents and professionals, he continues to demonstrate the many beneficial impacts outdoor play in natural evironments has on children’s well-being and global health.
Richard Louv’s intervention will be followed by a live question-and-answer session with the participants.
